Ohno Construction invites your firm to submit a bid for the following project:
Spaulding Field Renovation
UCLA
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of the renovation of Spaulding Field. Located immediately east of the Wasserman Football Center, Spaulding Field currently consists of two artificial turf, 60-yard practice fields oriented west to east. With UCLA's move to the Big Ten Conference, the football team will play on opposing teams' fields with natural grass, creating a need for a natural grass practice field. The project will renovate approximately 160,000 square feet of practice space to create a natural grass, full 100-yard field oriented north to south and two smaller artificial turf practice fields oriented west to east. Contractor shall remove the existing turf, provide a new irrigation and drainage system for the grass field, and provide artificial and natural grass on the fields.
Alternate #1 : Provide new posts and netting system to be placed behind the existing, mobile field goal posts per Sheet F-110 and Detail 1 on Sheet F-230. Provide deferred submittal for concrete base, posts, and netting. If this Alternate is accepted, the Contract Time will not change.
Alternate #2 : In lieu of completing the Work within 110 days, complete the Work within 90 days utilizing Alternate 2 work hours as specified in Section 01 14 00. If this Alternate is accepted, the Contract Time will be reduced by 20 days.

Engineer’s Estimate: $2,369,000.
Wage/Labor: Subject to Prevailing Wage (California State)
SBE & DVBE: All vendors and subcontractors who are minorities are encourage to submit a proposal
Schedule: 110 calendar days; 90days if Alternate #2 is selected
Parking: Refer to Section 01 55 00 for Vehicular Access and Parking, all vendors/subcontractors shall arrange and pay for all parking for itself and employees.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:
By submitting a proposal, the bidder acknowledges and agrees to all of the following terms: Proposer has carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that, from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Ohno’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions, or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Ohno is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as an all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Break outs of any portion of work is permitted as long as specifically and conspicuously called out on proposal. If selected, proposer is prepared to sign a subcontract with Ohno per Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement. A copy of Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement is available at its office locations or upon written request. Ohno Construction reserves the right to request that performance and payment bonds assuring subcontractor’s obligations to Ohno in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Ohno. Ohno will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 2%. The surety must be a California admitted surety. Insurance must name Ohno as additionally insured and be in an amount required by the specifications.
