is seeking certified and qualified DBE subcontractors and/or suppliers to provide SR A1A (Jimmy Buffet Memorial Highway) over Sebastian Inlet Indian River & Brevard County, Sebastian Inlet, Florida Contract # T4729 Letting Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 10:00AM EST The bid submittal is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025 10:00AM Eastern Time. We hereby request that you submit your quotation to us no later than Monday October 27, 2025 by end of day, on the items of work or materials that your company is certified to supply or perform. We encourage the participation of all DBE firms certified on the FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) Directory: DBE Directory. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has completed the design of State Road (SR) A1A over Sebastian Inlet Bridge Replacement. The existing Sebastian Inlet Bridge (No. 880005) carries SR A1A over the Sebastian Inlet at the Indian River and Brevard County line. The purpose of this project is to address the structural and functional deficiencies of the existing bridge and address the gap in system linkage for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Your quote must conform to all requirements of the bid documents, including but not limited to the plans, general provisions, special provisions, specifications, and contract for construction of the owner/agency (including addenda thereto) and follow all federal, state, and local laws. 

If your firm is awarded the project by Johnson Brother’s Corporation, you will be required to execute our standard subcontract or material supply agreement and adhere to our standard Safety and Quality Programs. Subcontractors, dependent on scale of scope, may be required to furnish a conforming certificate of insurance along with payment and performance bonds before entering a subcontract, the cost of which should be included in your quotation. Suppliers, dependent on scale of scope, may be required to furnish a supply bond before entering into an agreement. If requested, assistance and/or accommodations can be made in obtaining bonding, credit, insurance, etc.
