PROJECT DETAILS:

  • Pankow is proposing on the THE WARM LANDING PLACE FACILITY as a DBE for the County of Los Angeles.
  • The Warm Landing Place (WLPF)program is a pioneering initiative led by Justice Care & Opportunities Department (JCOD), under L.A. County's "Care First, Jails Last" vision. WLPF offers voluntary short-term transitional housing and essential services for justice-involved
    individuals upon release from incarceration. WLPF bridges the gap between incarceration and reintegration by providing immediate care and pathways to longterm stability.
    As part of this effort, the proposed WLPF Project consists of the design and construction of an interim housing and services center for individuals recently released from the Men's Central Jail complex downtown. The proposed multistory facility will provide administrative offices for co-locating services such as housing assistance, employment support, legal aid, and mental health counseling spaces.The proposed new building's gross floor area is approximately 13,000 square feet total on multi-levels and the gross site area is approximately 5,400 square feet.

  • Project has a CWA in place and all bidders will need to satisfy the requirements stipulated in the CWA.  A copy of the CWA will be provided during the bidding process.
  • Subcontractors will be required to enter into our standard contract. No modifications to the contract are permitted. All subcontractors/vendors awarded work on this project must be able to furnish subcontract performance and payment bonds, for the amount of the subcontract bid, issued by an admitted corporate surety acceptable to our company as necessary.
