JOB DESCRIPTION: The work to be done includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolish, remove, and stockpile or dispose of 2,745 LF of existing concrete canal lining, existing inlet and outlet structures at Stockdale Highway, sawcut and remove a portion of the existing over-pour structure, a portion of the existing CVC return diversion box, and remove and cap the existing ag well discharge in the channel. 2. The construction of approximately 112’ of 63” DR32.5 solid wall HDPE inside of 72” steel casing as a crossing under Stockdale Highway via bore jack  with reinforced concrete inlet and outlet structures. 3. The removal and salvage of 123 LF of the existing 72” RCP in the Pioneer Canal crossing, followed by the replacement of 122 LF of 72” RCP in the existing Pioneer Canal crossing with reinforced concrete field collars connecting to the portions of the remaining72” RCP that is connected to the existing inlet and outlet structures. 4. The construction of approximately 81,150 SF of new canal section with 4” thick non- reinforced concrete lining. 5. The Construction of approximately 16,460 SF of new sand cleanout channel section with 6” thick reinforced concrete lining. 6. The modification of and new lining connection to the existing fixed-blade weir structure. 7. The modification of and connection to the existing CVC return diversion box, and site development, and other items or details not mentioned above, that are required by typical construction, Standard Specifications or these special provisions.  DBE Good Faith Effort requirements, and all other items or details not mentioned above that are required by typical construction or Standard Specifications.    

Subcontractors will be required to enter into our standard contract. No modifications to the contract are permitted.
