General Work Description:
A new affordable housing development located at 10221 Old Redwood Highway in Windsor, California.The project consists of approximately 54 affordable residential units within five buildings, including one administrative/community building and four residential buildings. The development includes associated site improvements, parking, utilities, landscaping, and related improvements.
Key requirements include:
California prevailing wage / DIR requirements.
Compliance with applicable certified payroll, apprenticeship, prevailing wage, overtime, and labor requirements.
INDIAN PREFERENCE / INDIAN-OWNED BUSINESS OUTREACH: Indian Preference requirements apply to this project. GMH Builders is actively seeking participation from qualified Indian organizations, Indian-owned economic enterprises, Native American-owned businesses, and Tribally owned businesses. Firms seeking Indian Preference may be required to provide applicable Indian Enterprise qualification documentation in accordance with the Contract Documents. Federal debarment/non-suspension, anti-lobbying, ethics, standards of conduct, and non-collusion requirements apply as applicable to the bidder and contract value.
Bidders will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, tribal, contract, insurance, bonding, submittal, closeout, and project-specific requirements.
Certificate of Insurance for General Liability, Auto Liability, Excess Liability and Workers' Compensation are required. A waiver of subrogation will also be required with all subcontract agreements for all those lines of business excess. Subcontractors will be required to enter into our standard contract with GMH insurance requirements. All subcontractors/vendors awarded work on this project may have to furnish subcontract performance and payment bonds, for the amount of the subcontract bid, issued by an admitted corporate surety acceptable to our company (if required).
GMH Builders is available and willing to assist in breaking down bid packages into economically feasible units to facilitate Indian-owned business participation. GMH will also provide assistance with bonding, lines of credit, and insurance requirements where feasible.
