is seeking certified and qualified DVBE subcontractors and/or suppliers to provide PROJECT DESCRIPTION : This project is to renovate The Central Justice Center (CJC) Courthouse, constructed in 1969, 525,000 SQFT, consists of Sectors A & B of 3 stories and Sector C of 11 stories, Type I, Group A3 & B, Floor 1-3 : Partially-Sprinklered of Egress, representing 60% of the overall building area, and Floor 4-11 : Fully-Sprinklered. The Scope of Work consists, but not limited to abate  hazardous material, expand the coverage of the (E) Fire Sprinkler Systems, New Fire-Proofed Ceiling, Duct Work Systems,  DDC Control System, Grounding Electrical System,  Fire Alarm Systems, Smoke Control Systems.

PROJECT DETAILS:

SPECIFIC PROJECT REQUIREMENT & INFORMATION :

  • Contractors shall utilize the schedule of Prevailing Wage Rate of per diem wages & the general prevailing for holidays & overtime work for the type of work performed & locality in which the work is to be performed as published by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement  by the Department of Industrial Relations.
  • Contractors shall register with Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) of the State of California, in order to bid and perform Public Works project, pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5.
  • The Bid proposal shall not include costs for insurance provided under OCIP, refer to OCIP Safety Requirements Manual, e.g. EMR requirements to be enrolled in OCIP.
  • The Public Contract Code Section 10115.12 require Judicial Council to have DVBE Participation of at least three percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount expended on construction projects.
  • All communications with, or questions must be in writing with ITB-Question and Answer Form as attached in the Bid Document and submitted via email to  solicitations@jud.ca.gov or to Icon West's with Teresa Mayo's email, to tess@icon-west.com, no later than June 7, 2022 @ 3:00 P.M.
  • Any required evening work and / or weekends must provide Seventy-Two hours notice to Judicial Council prior to performing the works. 
  • Substitution for a Specified Item will not be considered during the Pre-Bid process and shall be considered Thirty Five (35) Days after the Contract award.
