PROJECT DETAILS:
The scope of work for the Sacramento Weir Widening Project includes construction of project features with approximate lengths provided: 1,500 Length Feet (LF) road bridge, 1,450 LF passive weir, 2,500 LF levee, fish passage facility including a 420 LF technical fish ladder and 200 LF channel with vertical lift gates, 4,000 LF of new county roads, 2,350 foot long interior drainage ditch, 8,500 LF of bypass transport channel, 1,600 LF stilling basin drainage channel to drain the existing Sacramento Weir stilling basin, and an embankment that will allow operations and maintenance activities for the fish passage facility. Additionally, the project is adjacent to the California Department of Water Resources project Lower Elkhorn Levee Setback Project (LEBLS), which the Sacramento Weir Widening Project will connect to upon completion.
