PROJECT DETAILS:
'This project is to Renovate and replace the existing irrigation system, stream and other water features at the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden, 7.5 acre, was opened in 1929 and serves as a public garden, outdoor classroom and research facility on the UCLA campus. The Scope of works includes but not limited to removal of existing landscape and replacement system of irrigation, stream, equipment then perform new aquatic planting along the stream and ponds, new rock edging & boulders, water supply and recirculation systems and power into vault.
' 1. All contractors shall pay all persons providing construction services and or/ any labor on site no less than the UC Fair Wage ( $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and Local working Conditions. 2. All contractors all their tiers should inform its DIR # ( Department of Industrial Relations Registration ) Number with their proposal pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 and 1771.1. 3. The University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) by making the best effort to provide with the maximum opportunity to participate. 4. Working hours Mon-Fri @ 5:00 AM-6:00 PM, Sat. @ 7:00 AM-6:00 PM only with advanced written approval from University's Representative, No work on Sunday or University's Holidays. Detail information is on Section 01 14 00. 5. There are 6 (Six) Alternates must be submitted with the Base Bid as describe in Section 01 23 00.
Last Day of RFI Submission was on March 24, 2023 at 3:00 PM. 6. Product , Material and Equipment Substitution Request are designated for Evaluation and shall only be submitted to University's Representative not later than 35 days after commencement as provided in the Section 01 25 13. 7. Every Sub-Contractor required to submit Certified Payrolls shall use the Web-based Electronic Certified Payroll Reporting (eCPR) system to be named by University.
1. Wages rate for this project shall be in accordance with Section 1720 et seq., the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California, the Prevailing rates of wages of holiday and over time work in the locality in which the work is to be performed. 2. During the work the Department of Industrial Relations shall monitor & enforced compliance with prevailing wage rate requirements and obligations. 3. No Sub-Contractor will be awarded a Contract for Public Works, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) of the State of California, pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. 4. Community Benefit Agreement (CBA) , the agreement between the District and Building trades /signatory Unions is required on this project. 5. The District adopt a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) participation goal of the Bid proposal. 6. The District is committed to a sustainable design as defined by the US Green Building Council's as LEED Gold Certification. 7.
