IMPT NOTE / Message 6-22-2023:   LAUSD has offered a Job Walk for all Subcontractors on June 29, 2023 form 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. 

It is Non-Mandatory but strongly recommended. The surrounding streets and neighborhood are going to impede access in and out of the site. This will need to be taken into consideration when preparing your bid.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  This project entails the construction of a new 2-story classroom building with 15 classrooms, support spaces, food services facilities, and underground parking. The project will remove 11 
classrooms located in relocatable buildings and the existing food service hot shack. In order to 
support the new facilities, site upgrades will include the replacement of the retaining wall along 
the eastern and southern portion of the site as well as enhancements to landscape, hardscape, 
parking, and playground areas. The project will also address upgrades to aging infrastructure 
including sewer, water, IT convergence, and electrical, as required. Additionally, seven interim 
classrooms and one sanitary building will be provided to support the classroom demands during 
construction. Project includes exterior painting of all existing buildings to remain (Alternate 
Add)

Bidders should note that LAUSD requires all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors (MEP subcontractors trades) to be District prequalified. Pre-Qualifications are due to the district no later than July 13, 2023. 

This project is subject to the Small Business Enterprise (SBE), including Micro-Small Business Enterprise (MSBE), certification participation program, and also the recognized Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) program.  PINMOR will be actively seeking certified SBE's, MSBE's, VBE's to meet the percentage goal requirements."

This project is also subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and the LAUSD's DIR approved District Labor Compliance Program. There is also a Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA) that contracted subcontractors and contractors will be required to participate in. As part of this agreement, 50% of one's workforce is required as a goal to be district resident workers. There is also a We- Build hiring program, sponsored by the district, that we anticipate our selected subcontractors and tier-contractors to participate in.

Selected Bidder, and all of their contracted subcontractors and tier contractors, will be required to participate in a mandatory Owner Controlled Insurance Program(OCIP) on this project; There are specific safety EMR eligibility requirements to be able to participate.

All trades are expected to be bondable and prepared to furnish 100% Payment and Performance bonds from an admitted surety for their bid. [Bond premium costs are to be included in your bid as a separate item.] This firm will, at our discretion, reserve the right to waive the above requirements for such bond, and to permit other security as a substitute, or to accept alternate guarantees in lieu of. We will help assist interested subcontractors in Bonding, lines of credit, and insurance needs, if required. However, please contact us prior to our bid date to discuss.

We will negotiate in good faith for all trade selections. Subcontractors/Suppliers selected will be required to agree to, and sign, our standard Master Subcontractor Agreement (including payment terms) a copy of which is available at our offices. No modifications to the contract will be permitted. Hard copies are also available for review/takeoff at our main office during regular business hours, M-F, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. PINMOR Construction was Short-Listed for the Delevan ES - Classroom Replacement Project, via Step 1. We are now in the Step 2 phase, Subcontractor Statement of Qualifications.

Date Due to LAUSD - 06/22/23: The RFQ requires the shortlisted bidders to name a minimum of one (1) subcontractor(s) for each trade specified below. Attached is Page 11 from the RFQ detailing the information required from each sub. The Subcontractor's Statement of Qualifications, attached, is to be completed and returned to johnny@pinmor.com, no later than 06/21/23, to be nominated for this project. Please list all Divisions that apply to your typical scope items.

III.   PROJECT CONSTRUCTION PHASE:

Three (3) Construction Phases (See attached Phasing Dated 04.25.2023) as follows:

PHASE 1A
Duration: 11 Mo. 20Days (355 CD)
- Mobilization and Site Investigation
-Removal of Sanitary Building, Storage, Lath House, and Tool Shed
-Removal of Trees (scheduled for Demo)
-Construction of 2 ADA Ramps
-Construction of UG Utilities for Interim Housing including sanitary sewer, water, and electrical 
utilities. (Temp or Permanent power intercept/ feed to Classrooms 1&2)
-Construction of Interim Housing (7 Classrooms, Trash Enclosure, and Sanitary Building
-Construction of temporary trailers
