PROJECT DETAILS:

This project is to complete all construction and related DSA requirements of the partially-constructed of 2-story Performing Arts & Media Arts Center building,118,00 SQFT, Type IB, Group A-1, A-3, B & S-1, Fully Sprinklered in Los Angeles Valley College campus . The Scope of works includes, but not limited to continue constructing by accepting, maintaining and completing all of existing works, works in progress, materials, various District activities and of an "Interim Contractor", as described in Bid Document Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work.

1. This "Public Work " project shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of Labor Code Section 1720 to 1861, which govern the payment of Prevailing Wages rates . 2.   Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1726.5 & 1771, all contractors shall be registered with the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California. 3. The District has adopted Amended Project Labor Agreement (APLA) and established CED (Community Economic Development) Program by increasing the participation goal of Local, Small and Emerging Businesses to 35% of All Skilled Trade and 10% Local Resident. 4. The District has implemented an OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance ) Program, which provides insurance coverage to the Contractor and its Sub-Contractor for General Comprehensive, Excess & Pollution Liabilities, 5. The Deadline of Request of Clarification about Bid Document is @ 5:00 PM, Wednesday, June 05, 2024 (Add.#1). 6.  There shall be no substitution of or addition to the Subcontractors except as permitted pursuant to Section 2.5 A and as permitted by Chapter 4, Division 2 Part 1 of the California Public Contract Code as describe in General Condition, Article 5. 7. Contractors is expected to work double shifts starting at 7:00 AM, overlapping by 30 minutes and shall be a minimum 8 hours, Monday to Friday, includes additional work hours, such as Saturdays. The contractor shall provide 72 hours notice in advance and receive acceptance by College Project Team (CPT).
