PROJECT DETAILS:

This project is to Construct a New Plant Facilities and Shops, 17,275 SQFT, Single-Story, Type IIB Non Rated, Group B, F-1 & S-1, Sprinklered to replace the adjacent Existing Plan Facilities, Building A15 and Physical Plant Shop, Building A16, in West Los Angeles  College campus . The Scope of works includes, but not limited to Mechanical Shops, Shop Support Spaces, Administrative Offices, Meeting Room, Lounge, Mechanical Spaces, Site Works and Landscaping.

1. This "Public Work " project shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of Labor Code Section 1720 to 1861, which govern the payment of Prevailing Wages rates . 2.   Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1726.5 & 1771, all contractors shall be registered with the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California. 3. The District has adopted Amended Project Labor Agreement (APLA) and established CED (Community Economic Development) Program by increasing the participation goal of Local, Small and Emerging Businesses to 35% of All Skilled Trade and 10% Local Resident. 4. The District has implemented an OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance ) Program, which provides insurance coverage to the Contractor and its Sub-Contractor for General Comprehensive, Excess & Pollution Liabilities, 5. The Deadline of Request of Clarification about Bid Document is @ 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 . 6. A request for Substitution for any products, materials, equipment and method of construction may be submitted within 30 days after award or Notice to Proceed, but shall be accompanied by a Substitution Request Form as described in Section 01 60 01. 7. Any work performed necessary to be done within 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday through Friday. No Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays. The contractor shall provide 3 (three) days notice and receive acceptance by College Project Team (CPT) to perform work outside of the days and times periods listed above.
