Ohno Construction invites your firm to submit a bid for the following project: 

La Mirada High School New Football Stadium Project 

Norwalk-LA Mirada Unified School District  

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

Consists of new construction of synthetic track and turf fields for football and other sport events. Also consists of new bleachers at the football field, field houses containing concessions, team rooms, restrooms, and storage facilities, a ticket booth building, irrigation and landscape upgrades, new fence and existing fence enhancement, asphalt and concrete paving, site utilities including public water purveyor utility connections, and resurfacing of an existing parking lot. Demolition work includes the removal and hauling of existing home and visitor bleachers approximately 8,500 seating including existing press box, small building and its associated electrical equipment in the buildings, hazardous abatement and hauling, site utility, parking lot, and existing track and field areas such as synthetic turf, rubber track and materials/poles and foundations for Exterior Athletic Lighting including Public Address and other site lighting. Materials and Installation for Synthetic Grass Surfacing, Synthetic Track Surfacing are Owner-Furnished Owner-Installed Items. Materials for Exterior Athletic Lighting, Rubber Flooring Base, Roofing, Daktronics, Security Cameras, Wireless Access Point, Refrigerator, Ice Machine, and Liquid Soap Dispensers are Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed item. 

 

BID DUE DATE & TIME: Wednesday March 23th, 2022 @ end of day 

Proposals may be emailed to the Estimating Department at estimating@ohnoconstruction.com or faxed to 619-278-8761. Quotes are required at least 2 hours prior to bid time. Proposals received after the Bid Due Date and Time will NOT be considered.

  • The district adheres to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health COVID-19 health protocols; and Contractors are required as well, along with their Associates and their Subcontractors. 
  • RFI due Friday, March 11th @ end of day.  

 

This Project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing (“MEP”) subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS: 

By submitting a proposal, the bidder acknowledges and agrees to all of the following terms: Proposer has carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that, from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Ohno’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions, or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Ohno is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as an all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Break outs of any portion of work is permitted as long as specifically and conspicuously called out on proposal. If selected, proposer is prepared to sign a subcontract with Ohno per Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement. A copy of Ohno’s standard subcontract agreement is available at its office locations or upon written request. Ohno Construction reserves the right to request that performance and payment bonds assuring subcontractor’s obligations to Ohno in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Ohno. Ohno will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 2%. The surety must be a California admitted surety. Insurance must name Ohno as additionally insured and be in an amount required by the specifications.
