- Site Visit is scheduled for 9:00 am on Thursday, August 1, 2024, outside the main office of Green Elementary School, 7030 Wandermere Drive, San Diego, CA 92119. Upon completion of the first site, contractors shall proceed immediately to Foster Elementary School, 6550 51st Street, San Diego, CA 92120. All attendees must preregister with the District prior to attending the site walk at sandiegounified.org/site walks.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- All Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at Bid Time.
- Prevailing Wage Project.
- Disabled Veteran Business (DVB) Participation Program - Pursuant to a board-approved resolution, the Bidder is required to satisfy a minimum DVB participation percentage of at least three percent (3%) for this project.
SUBCONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION:
- Any subcontractor performing the license classifications of A, B [if performing the work of] C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46 wishing to submit a bid to a bidding prime contractor must be prequalified in order to bid. Contractors must be a registered SDUSD PlanetBids vendor to complete the prequalification process. Go to tinyurl.com/SDUSD-PlanetBids and login as a vendor, then click the menu on the left, and select prequalification to get started. Completed applications must be submitted to the District no later than August 5, 2024, which is 10 business days before the bid opening due date. Any applications submitted later than this deadline will not be processed for this bid.
PROJECT STABILIZATION AGREEMENT:
- This project is subject to the Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA) adopted by the Board of Education on July 28, 2009. The complete agreement is available for viewing and downloading at sandiegounified.org/PSA.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
- Green ES UTK classroom complex is to include the installation and construction of three relocatable classroom buildings, including interior upgrades. Additional project scope includes playground equipment, poured in pace surfacing, shade structure ancillary site improvements and accessibility upgrades to existing student restrooms in multi=use building. 2 as required for the path travel.
- Foster ES construction and installation of 2 relocatable classroom relocation of 2 UTK2 and UTK2 of which are relocated from another district site as identified on the overall site plan. Additional project scope includes playground equipment poured in place surfacing, construction of 1 pc approved shade structure, interior restroom upgrades and ancillary site improvements in building 02 and 06 as required for the path of trave.
TRADES INVOLVED (not limited to):
- Demolition, concrete, joint sealants, door hardware, resilient base and sheet flooring, tile carpeting, exterior painting, panel signage, post and panel/plyon signage, toilet compartments, toilet, bath, and laundry accessories, fire extinguishers, protective covers, play structures, plastic laminate clad countertops, relocatable buildings, refabricated ramps, plumbing, electrical, communications, intrusion detection, addressable fire-alarm system, site clearing, earth moving, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete paving, pavement markings, tactile warning surfacing, playground protective surfacing, chain link fences and gates, stormwater conveyance, and subdrainage.
