PROJECT DETAILS:

Project Budget: $2,800,000; Pre-Bid RFI’s: Direct pre-bid RFI’s to Sam Reed via email samr@construct1.com; Project Duration: 210 calendar days; Project Description: The project involves interior and exterior modifications at the Transportation/Public Services Facility. Interior improvements include the relocation of the bus operator locker room, remodeling the Dispatch Suite to accommodate a vestibule with transaction window/counter, additional Supervisor workstations, creation of a small supervisor conference room, restructure Operations Manager/Administration Assistant Offices, expand Mechanic’s locker room, create Storekeeper’s office, remodel Customer Service Lobby with new dedicated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System, relocate Supply/Copier Room, restructure Transit Admin. Officer’s office, and relocate the HR Payroll Technician’s Office. The exterior modifications include a new entry gate and fencing at the Civic Center entrance.

DIR Registration: This project is subject to DIR Public Works Funding Legislation - SB 854. To bid on this Project, subcontractors and all their lower-tier subcontractors must be registered online as Public Works Contractors with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Go to the DIR Website for more information. hFps://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html; Prevailing Wages: This is a prevailing wage project. Pursuant to California Labor Code section 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such contractor, to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract, including holiday and overtime work as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes. Subcontractors assume responsibility for notifying all of their subcontractors of the prevailing wage requirements. Contractors’ License: Pursuant to Section 7028.15 of the Business and Professions Code and Section 3300 of the Public Contract Code, at the time of bid and throughout the contract, all Bidders must possess the proper Contractor’s license to perform the specified work.

DBE Firms must be certified at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract. All qualified bidders will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Construct 1 One, Corp. offers assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies, or materials upon request. Subcontractors will be required to enter into our standard Subcontract Agreement. 100% payment and performance bonds may be required for the amount of the Subcontract price. Construct 1 One, Corp. will reimburse Subcontractors for the premium costs of bonds and standard premium rates not to exceed 1.0% of the subcontract amount. Construct 1 One, Corp., at its sole discretion, reserves the right to waive this requirement, permit substitute security, or alternate guarantees. Subcontractors must possess a current Contractor’s License and Insurance. Construct 1 One, Corp.’s listing of a Subcontractor in its bid to the Public Agency is not to be construed as an acceptance of all of the Subcontractor’s conditions or exceptions included with the Subcontractor’s price quote. Construct 1 One, Corp. is a signatory to the Carpenters and Laborers Unions. Prospective subcontractors must provide Union labor for work related to these two unions. One-time agreements may be acceptable if they are in place prior to commencing work and made a part of the contract.

Construct 1 One Corp. hereby gives notice that by submitting a bid or proposal the Subcontractor/Supplier agrees that all bids/proposals that are accepted by Construct 1 One, Corp. will be subject to the terms and conditions of Construct 1 One, Corp.’s Standard Subcontractor Agreement, when bidding/proposing as a Subcontractor; or the terms and conditions of Construct 1 One, Corp.’s Standard Purchase Order Agreement, when bidding/proposing as a Supplier, as well as the requirements of all project bid documents, including, but not limited to, the project plans, specifications, bidder requirements, general requirements, general conditions, special conditions, addenda, and all other incorporated documents. The Subcontractor/Supplier further agrees that it is its own responsibility to verify with the awarding authority the existence of all project bid documents and not to rely solely on the accuracy of the contents of the Construct 1 One, Corp.’s Bid Center. In the event of a conflict between or among any of the project bid documents, the Subcontractor/Supplier’s bid/proposal shall be deemed to include the more stringent requirements.
