PROJECT DETAILS:

DESCRIPTION:  Lease-Leaseback Project. Subcontractor bids only.

Update 3 campuses (Raymond Case, Elk Grove and Irene B. West Elementary Schools) for Elk Grove Unified School District.  Work includes:

1. SITE:

   * PAINT EXTERIOR ORNAMENTAL IRON FENCING, GATES AND HANDRAILS.

   * PAINT EXTERIOR BUILDING AREAS WHERE INDICATED.

2. ROOFING:

   * PAINT EXTERIOR PRE-FINISHED METAL ROOFING AND CANOPY STRUCTURES WHERE NOTED.

3. CEILINGS:

   * REPLACE SUSPENDED ACOUSTICAL CEILING TILES THROUGHOUT CAMPUS UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.

   * CLEAN AND PAINT ALL HVAC REGISTERS THROUGHOUT CAMPUS.

4. WALLS:

   * PREPARE AND PAINT INTERIOR WALLS.

5. FLOORING:

   * REPLACE CARPET, BASE AND PROVIDE INTEGRAL WALK-OFF MATS AT ENTRY DOORS THROUGHOUT CAMPUS.

   * REPLACE RESILIENT FLOORING AREAS.

   * REPLACE FLOORING IN SELECT RESTROOMS WHERE NOTED.

   * AT MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM MAIN FLOOR, REMOVE RESILIENT FLOORING, PREPARE AND POLISH CONCRETE SLAB AND PAINT GAME MARKING LINES.

6. DOORS & WINDOWS:

   * PAINT ALL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR HOLLOW METAL AND WOOD DOORS AND FRAMES.

7. CASEWORK:

   * TUNE UP EXISTING CASEWORK BY REPLACING DAMAGED OR MISSING HARDWARE AND RE-HANGING LOOSE DOORS. REPLACE PLASTIC LAMINATE AREAS THAT CANNOT BE EASILY TOUCHED WHERE NOTED.

8. LIGHTING:

   * REPLACE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR BUILDING MOUNTED LIGHTING.

   * REPLACE EXISTING EXTERIOR WALL-MOUNTED FIXTURES.

Schedule:       Elk Grove ES (Traditional): June 2 to August 10, 2025

                        Raymond Case ES (Modified Traditional): June 16 to August 10, 2025

                        Irene B. West ES (Year-Round): April 24, 2025, to March 30, 2026

Warranty Period: This project has a 2-year warranty period.

MEP Prequalification in compliance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 is required for this Project. Therefore, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (“MEP”) subcontractors (as defined by Public Contract Code section 20111.6(k)) must be prequalified by the District prior to the LLB Entity submitting its Proposal. MEP subcontractors subject to these requirements are those with any of the following license classifications: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and C-46. MEP Subcontractors are encouraged to complete the prequalification process as soon as possible to expedite evaluation. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR DIR REGISTRATION NUMBER AND CONFIRM YOU CAN MEET AB-566 / SB-693 SKILLED AND TRAINED WORKFORCE REQUIREMENTS WHEN SUBMITTING BID.

DIR Registration requirements for all Public Works projects (SB854):

The requirement to only use registered contractors and subcontractors on public works projects applies to all projects awarded on or after April 1, 2015.

a.         All sub-tier subcontractors must be DIR registered contractors at all times during performance of the Work; and

b.         Prospective subcontractors may only solicit sub-bids from and contract with lower-tier subcontractors who are DIR registered contractors.

 AB-566 / SB-693 Skilled and Trained Workforce Requirements:

All subcontractors of any tier must comply with the requirements set forth in Education Code section 17407.5, including providing an enforceable commitment that all Subcontractors of any tier will use a “Skilled and Trained Workforce” as defined in Public Contract Code 2601(d). All Subcontractors are to carefully review all requirements set forth in Public Contract Code 2600-2603 before bidding the project. 

 All work performed on this project which falls under the recognized jurisdiction of the Carpenter’s Master Agreement for Northern California shall be performed by Union Carpenters.
