PROJECT DETAILS:

PREQUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

The OWNER’s prequalification requirements include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors (i.e., contractors licensed pursuant to Sections 7056–7059 of the Business and Professions Code, specifically holding A, B, C-7, C-10, C20, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses pursuant to regulations of the Contractors’ State License Board) that contract directly with a bidder to perform any such component work on the Project (“MEP subcontractors”).


 

Non-MEP subcontractors do not need to be prequalified to perform non-MEP component work on the Project. Bidders and MEP subcontractors shall not be eligible to bid or perform work on the Project if they (a) have not submitted completed prequalification questionnaires and financial statements to the OWNER at least ten (10) business days before the date fixed for the public opening of bids, and (b) have not been prequalified by the OWNER at least five (5) business days before the date fixed for the public opening of bids. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Grandview project consists of:

The relocation of stockpiles: (3) three relocatable classroom buildings and (1) relocatable restroom building onto the site. Install new metal deck, ramp and stairs and associated site work.

A) Classroom stockpiles A#02-102602:

1 – Remove and replace (E) floor and ceiling finishes with new finishes

2 – Repaint interior & exterior walls, doors, windows, trims, and sidings

3 – Remove & replace (E) mech unit with new unit and steel platform

B) Restroom stockpile A#04-116720:

1 – Remove and replace (E) floor and wall finishes with new finishes

2 – Repaint interior & exterior walls, doors, windows, trims, and sidings

3 – Remove & replace (E) plumbing fixtures with new fixtures

· The removal of (2) existing relocatable classroom buildings.

· Renovating an existing classroom into a new restroom and workroom for special education students.

· The replacement of the existing kitchen fire suppression system.

· Site Improvements and the creation of new landscaped areas.


 

The McBride project consists of:

· The removal and replacement of an existing lunch shelter. New lunch shelter per DSA 04-122188.

· The removal of (1) play structure and replacement with a “mini” farm program.

· A new chain link fence to divide McBride and Grand View Blvd. ES students.

· Installation of site and utility improvements to allow for car washing to occur in designated area.

· Play court re-stripping and various site improvements.

· The renovation of (2) classrooms, (1) workroom and conversion of (2) student restrooms to adult restrooms inside of main building.


 

THESE PROJECTS WILL BE AWARDED AS ONE CONTRACT, HOWEVER PRICING FOR EACH PACKAGE MUST BE SEPARATE. PLEASE PROVIDE 2 PRICES, ONE FOR MCBRIDE AND ONE FOR GRAND VIEW.
