Suffolk Construction Company would like to cordially invite your firm to submit competitive pricing including all supervision, project management, equipment, and means and methods to complete for your trade’s scope.

Please note the project requires CBA (Community Benefits Agreement) prior to commencing work as noted under Bid and Contract Documents.

Compton Community College is located in Los Angeles, California.

Be sure to review Suffolk's sample contract, Riders S, and V that are included with the bid documents, please note that Suffolk's insurance requirements should be considered the minimum and must refer to the contract documents for the owner's requirement that must also be met.

  • Subcontractors are required to execute Suffolk’s standard subcontract agreement, including all standard provisions without modification within two (2) weeks of receipt. The standard subcontract agreement can be found in the Documents tab.
  • Insurance requirements (OCIP) can be found in the Subcontract Documents under the Documents tab.
  • Provide an add alternate for full insurance if OCIP is not provided by Owner.
  • ALL Subcontractors will be required to use Textura for billing throughout the project (See Textura Manual & Rates in Documents tab)
  • We reserve the right to require all subcontractors to furnish 100% performance and payment bonds from a U.S. Treasury-listed surety. Premium cost to be included as a separate item. At our discretion, a bid bond and/or letter of bendability from a U.S. Treasury-listed surety may be required within 48 hours of demand. Suffolk is an equal opportunity employer requesting subcontractor bids from all interested firms including disadvantaged, minority, veterans and emerging small business enterprises. All bids received to be per Suffolk’s subcontract terms and conditions without modification. Suffolk uses wrap up insurance for all of its projects. If there are no instructions with the bid to the contrary, then you shall include all insurance costs in your bid. Suffolk Standard Subcontract and Insurance requirements are available for review at the project document folder.
  • We encourage all DVBE certified trade partners to provide a bid for this project, since the project is targeting 3% DVBE.
  • Any Person(s) working on site must pass a background check.

The Scope of Work consists of (2) Phases and it will be treated as a single project: Demolition of existing one-story PE Complex and the construction of a new PE Complex consists of a new two-story gym, a one-story pool mechanical building, an outdoor swimming pool and site development:

    1. Demolition of existing structures and site improvements
    2. Soil Mitigation (Deep Soil Mixing)
    3. Type IIIB PE Complex
    4. Swimming Pool
    5. Pool Building Type VB (Fully Sprinklered)
    6. Site Concrete
    7. Landscaping
  2. PHASE 2 SCOPE OF WORK:
    1. Demolition of existing structures and site improvements
    2. Asphalt Paving
    3. Existing building remains operational during Phase 1
