PROJECT DETAILS:
Project Scope: This project proposes the construction of a new roadway bridge over Salt Creek to replace the existing segment of Bradley Road that crosses the creek. The new bridge will be elevated approximately 12 feet above the creek at its highest point. Spanning 330 feet in length and 64 feet in width, the bridge will feature a 12-foot-wide painted median, two 12-foot travel lanes (one in each direction), 8-foot shoulders on both sides for Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) and Class II bicycle lanes, and 5-foot pedestrian sidewalks on each side. The bridge will be designed with a three-span, cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete box girder structure, supported by two intermediate piers, each consisting of three columns (six total), and two open-ended abutments. To mitigate potential scour, rock slope protection will be installed at the abutments.
