The Project is generally described as including, but not limited to: Kitchen and serving line upgrades with owner provided vendor-installed equipment. The equipment layout will be reviewed for code required egress, accessibility and MEP infrastructure upgrades. Replacement of (1) existing drinking fountain at each school site to new drinking fountain/bottle filler station with in-line filters. Install new in-line filters at all existing and new kitchen prep sinks. In addition, James Lick Middle School dining area refreshment includes replacement of existing tile wainscot and flooring with new finishes and all new LED lighting fixtures in the kitchen area.

CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE REQUIRED FOR THE WORK: Class B - General Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification or Sub-Contractor with Asbestos and Lead Certification performing the work.

PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT: All Bidders are hereby notified that the District has a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) in effect on the Project and all contractors and subcontractors bidding this Project will be required to comply with the PLA.

PRE-QUALIFICATION: All Bidders are hereby notified that this Project is subject to the District’s Pre-Qualification Procedure. All General Contractors must submit a prequalification package a minimum of ten (10) business days prior to bid date in order to bid on this project. No bids will be received or opened from Bidders who have not been pre-qualified through the District’s Pre-Qualification Procedure.
