Increment 01 for this phase will be the Interim Housing for each the Ridgecrest Elementary School and Butterfield Elementary School.
Increment 02 for each project will be the main elementary school modernization scheduled to bid out in the future separately.
Scope of work for Increment 01 will be selective site demo for Interim Housing, earthwork prep for building pads for portables, site concrete, electrical, fire alarm, low voltage, finish grade, asphalt, PCC paving, landscape/irrigation patchback.
Job walk to be April 11, 20125 at 12pm. We will start at Ridgecrest ES, meet at the flagpole. We will move to Butterfield ES to conclude walk.
All Pre-Bid RFI questions are due by April 14, 2025 at 5pm for both projects. Project will be using the Lease-Lease-Back Delivery Method and is an S+B James Construction awarded project. Prevailing Wages, Certified Payroll, and Skilled and Trained Workforces are required to be utilized and reported.
To the extent a Proposal designates any electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing subcontractors holding any of the C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43,or C-46 specialty licenses (“MEP Subs”), those MEP Subs also must be prequalified in accordance with the District Prequalification requirements (PQ Bids), prior to submission of that Proposal to the District. We are seeking DVBE participation from qualified Trade Partners. We encourage bidders to bid multiple bid packages as possible. The intent on this project is for SB James and the bidders to coordinate any scope gaps during the preconstruction phase so there are no change orders submitted to the client throughout the project. The only exception to this would be in the case of a design change. To be considered for recommendation to the client, all bidders must submit a fully completed bid form, initial and return the respective ITBs, review and confirm the schedule/site logistics. Additional items that help SB James determine the best value include involvement during preconstruction, a completely covered scope as intended, etc. If you do not submit the minimum requirements, your pricing will be considered incomplete.
