PROJECT DETAILS:
This project is to Build-out the (E) unoccupied shell area inside the Student Union Buildings on the Los Angeles City College Campus, 9,284 SQFT, Type II-A, Group B, A-2,A-3, M & S-2, Fully Sprinklered. The Scope of works includes, but not limited to construct New Kitchen, Prep / Service Area and Dining Room. There are Two (2) Bid Alternates, which are Food Locker System & Installation and Screen Monitor Array & Mounting per Drawing Sheet G0.01.
1. This "Public Work " project shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of Labor Code Section 1720 to 1861, which govern the payment of Prevailing wages rates . 2. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1726.5 & 1771, all contractors shall be registered with the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California. 3. Subject of the requirements of Section 1404 of the Public Contract Code, all contractors shall be qualified to submit a Bid. 4. The District has adopted Amended Project Labor Agreement (APLA) and established CED (Community Economic Development) Program by increasing the participation goal to 35% of Local , Small and Emerging Businesses 5. The District has implemented an OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance ) Program, which provides insurance coverage to the Contractor and its Sub-Contractor for General Comprehensive, Excess & Pollution Liabilities, 6. The Deadline of Request of Clarification about Bid Document is 2:00 PM, Friday, March 01, 2024 (Add.#2),. 7. A request for Substitution for any products, materials, equipment and method of construction may be submitted within 30 days after award or Notice to Proceed, but shall be accompanied by a Substitution Request Form. as described on Section 01 25 00. 8. Any work performed necessary to be done within 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday through Friday. No Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays. The contractor shall responsible for cost incurred by the District which arise out of work performed other than regular working hours.
