PROJECT DETAILS:

This project consists of 2 projects, which are Storm Water and Central Quad Improvement to meet the Campus Load Requirement for Existing & Future Building of the Underground Utilities & Hydronic System, Storm Water Management and Biofiltration System in area and around Central Quad of the Los Angeles City College Campus. The Scope of works includes, but not limited to Upgrade Chilled & Hot Water line, Site Power, Lighting, Wi-Fi, Blue Phone, Sculpture Pedestal and Irrigation System.

1. This "Public Work " project shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of Labor Code Section 1720 to 1861, which govern the payment of Prevailing Wages rates . 2.   Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1726.5 & 1771, all contractors shall be registered with the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California. 3. The District has adopted Amended Project Labor Agreement (APLA) and established CED (Community Economic Development) Program by increasing the participation goal to 35% of Local , Small and Emerging Businesses 4. The District has implemented an OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance ) Program, which provides insurance coverage to the Contractor and its Sub-Contractor for General Comprehensive, Excess & Pollution Liabilities, 5. The Deadline of Request of Clarification about Bid Document is @2:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2024,. 6.  A request for Substitution for any products, materials, equipment and method of construction may be submitted within 30 days after award or Notice to Proceed, but shall be accompanied by a Substitution Request Form. 7. Any work performed necessary to be done within 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday through Friday. No Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays. The contractor shall provide 3 (three) days notice and receive acceptance by College Project Team (CPT) to perform work outside of the days and times periods listed above.
